Help from the Holy Spirit in Infinite!

Do you know that the LAST THING a person says to you before leaving is very important?
Think about it. Have you ever left to go on a trip (whether on vacation, a hospital stay, or other reasons) and made arrangements for someone to either house- or pet-sit, or just come over to check on things? Well, I have, and what I have to say to that person is very important because they are in charge until I get back! “Don’t forget to water the plant on the porch.” “The dog and cat food is in a container in the garage.” “The veterinarian’s phone number is . . . and here is the code to disarm the alarm.”
Right before Jesus was taken by the soldiers, He had one of those talks with His disciples, which you can find in John chapters 14–16. In each of these chapters, the ministry of the Holy Spirit is emphasized:
“. . . And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you” (John 14:26 AMPC).
“. . . but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you]” (John 16:7 AMPC).
“But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth) . . .” (John 16:13 AMPC).
I believe—just as you probably do—that of all we can learn as Christians, there is nothing quite as important as learning to follow the Holy Spirit. As we follow Him, He can lead us to:
1. Understand the Scriptures
2. Avoid tragedy
3. Be in the right place at the right time
4. Make decisions that lead us to joy, health, and financial prosperity
5. Meet people who will be a blessing to our lives
6. Be directed to those who are ready to receive Jesus as their Lord
The ways in which the Holy Spirit can lead and help us are infinite. I believe that is why I was directed to teach on nothing else for six weeks in Capps Chapel.
