THE WORD BECAME FLESH

  The Word Became Flesh

JESUS – THE WORD MADE FLESH

A prophecy came forth, spoken into the earth under the unction of the Spirit: “A virgin shall conceive, and bear a son…” God set it in motion and called it into being through His prophet Isaiah. In the fullness of time, it was necessary that a woman would receive and accept that Word in order for the prophecy to be fulfilled.

“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (God is with us).” (Isaiah 7:14)

“Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, ‘Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!’   But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.  And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.’ Then Mary said to the angel, ‘How can this be, since I do not know a man?’ And the angel answered and said to her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.’ (Luke 1:26-35)

God’s Word spoken by the angel became the Seed, the physical manifestation of a promise of God. He declared it would come to pass and centuries did not hinder the ultimate fulfillment of His spoken Word.

Joseph also received a Word from God by an angel, “...Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
(Matthew 1:20)

Joseph himself had to exercise faith and accept the Word that Jesus’ conception was the Word spoken by the Holy Spirit. How much faith did that take? Have you ever encountered an unusual circumstance in your life and the Spirit of God spoke to you and told you to move forward in spite of your mind and logic?

The Word is to be written in our flesh.

John said, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us…” (John 1:1 & 14)

The Word was made flesh.  Jesus, the Messiah to the world, co-existed with God from the beginning as the Word. Through Him were all things created that exist. And at the appointed time, He entered the earth with a flesh and blood body through the faith of Mary who said, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy Word...”    (Luke 1:38)

The promises of God will be turned into facts.

There are many today who say it couldn’t have happened. They approach it biologically, when it was both spiritual and biological. Mary conceived the incorruptible seed of God’s Word through an act of the God-kind of faith, and it caused a miraculous conception.

“And, Behold, thy cousin Elizabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.  For with God nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:36-37) The literal Greek states:

“IT IS POSSIBLE FOR GOD TO PERFORM HIS EVERY DECLARATION.”

In Mark 11:23, Jesus gives us the underlying principle of how Mary could conceive without human involvement: “…Whosoever shall say…believe…and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which were told her from the Lord shall come to pass...”

Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.”    (Luke 1:38)

LET IT BE TO ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD!

Mary conceived God’s Word in her spirit. Once it was conceived in her spirit, it manifested itself in her physical body. The Bible said, “The Word was made flesh…” The embryo in Mary’s womb was the Word of God – and it took flesh upon itself.

The Word of God was conceived by an act of the God-kind of faith and was born on the earth.  Jesus was the Living Word of God – the Word in flesh form! He was the seed of righteousness that God planted in the earth. Mary dared to believe and receive the seed sent from God.

God’s Word will get you healed, or filled with the Holy Ghost the same way that the miraculous conception took place! Any believer that will conceive God’s Word concerning healing in their spirits, it will eventually manifest itself in their physical bodies! If you conceive God’s Word concerning prosperity then prosperity will manifest itself in your business affairs. Conceive God’s Word concerning the Holy Spirit and He will manifest Himself in your spirit. You can conceive peace, joy and love in the same manner. God’s Word has the ability to produce whatever you need in your life!

In his own words Jesus said, “Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you.  Everyone that asketh, receiveth...Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will [instead] give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will [instead] give him a snake? If you then, evil (sinful by nature) as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him.” (Matthew 7:7-11)

How much more shall the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him? When you receive God’s Word into your spirit, it will manifest itself in you in one way or another.

The faith of God in Mary’s heart caused her to speak and conceive that Word in her spirit, and then it manifested itself in her physical body.

 THE INCORRUPTIBLE SEED

What is incorruptible? All physical things are corruptible (subject to death or decay) but that which is incorruptible is everlasting and not subject to death or decay. The Word of God is seed that is spiritual and wherever it is planted it will always bring forth fruit.

I Peter 1:23 states, “Being born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible. By the word of God which liveth and abideth forever.” The seed that the woman conceived was the incorruptible seed. When God prophesied about Eve in Genesis 3, He referred to the seed of the woman. The seed Mary received was the Word. The incorruptible seed took flesh upon Itself and dwelt among us.

Jesus Christ was born of a virgin through a miraculous conception by faith. It was God-kind of faith. Jesus came to earth, was born of the everlasting Word and there was no death in Him.

After Adam sinned, every child born from Adam until now, was subject to death; spiritually and physically. Death reigned on earth because of Adam and Eve believing satan and receiving his word. Now, it was reversed! God gained entrance into the earth by being born of a woman. The Light of the world became flesh! This was the only means God could gain legal entrance into the world to destroy the works of the devil.

Jesus Christ was a man (fully human and fully God) and He did miracles because He was anointed with the Holy Ghost. Some say, “I don’t understand why Jesus had to be born on earth. Why didn’t God just come down here and destroy the devil?”

God and man are working together in order to destroy the kingdom of darkness.

He couldn’t do that, because God had given dominion of the earth to man. Jesus had to come in the form of man, with the body of a man. This made it perfectly legal for Jesus to destroy the work of the devil.

“For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.” (John 5:26-27)

“…For this purpose the Son of God was manifest, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (I John 3:8b)

THE WORD IN YOUR FLESH

Just as Jesus was the Word made Flesh, the Word can become flesh in you. If you will receive the Word in your spirit, it will manifest in your flesh and in the material world where our bodies exist. The promises of God will be turned into facts in your bones, muscles, organs, brain and tissues in your body. The Word will drive out depression and hopelessness that has locked itself in your tissues as you renew your mind to the Words of Jesus. The Word is to be written in our flesh for all to read for Psalm 42:11 says that He is the “health of our countenance.” When people look upon us, they should see Jesus the Word manifest in our flesh. For we are now His Body and His Representatives in the earth.

God and man are working together in order to destroy the kingdom of darkness. Man’s earthly authority is needed to go along with God’s ability to perform the work. What God spoke in Genesis 3:15, “The seed of the woman shall bruise your head” has now been manifest because Jesus was made flesh. The Spirit of the Living God now dwells in our flesh and the Word is alive in us!
