"If there ever was a time when we need the power of the Holy Spirit, it is NOW – in this day and age. God wants every Christian filled to overflowing with His Holy Spirit. Yes, to edify you and empower you and enable you to speak mysteries by the Spirit. But He also NEEDS you. Why would God need YOU? You and I are His vessels upon the earth, His ambassadors and agents. It is through US that He accomplishes His will on the earth.
Now some have said that this was only for a certain few, the special, the disciples who had been with Jesus. It is not necessary for today. If we don’t need all the power of the Holy Spirit now, when will we???? Look at Acts 2:39 (AMPC), Peter said: “For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your children, and to and for all that are far away, [even] to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself.”
Study it for yourself through the book of Acts. It was the power of the Holy Spirit working through men and women that accomplished the miracles, signs and wonders."
