Monthly Teachings

There are some things about faith that we need to continually go over to keep them fresh.  Just because we have heard it or known it doesn’t necessarily mean we still remember it. It is good to go back and review some old truths from God’s Word that have become old hat, so to speak. Sometimes we find that we have forgotten some important things that were fresh revelations years ago.

The way the Bible is written makes some Scriptures difficult to understand without studying other Scriptures. This is especially true in the Old Testament. Some Scriptures don’t always give a clear meaning on the surface, but require some digging into to discover the intent of what is stated.

In order to activate God’s power in our bodies and in our lives, we must speak our faith and act our faith. One of the biggest deceptions that the enemy has ever perpetrated upon the Body of Christ is, “If we believe in healing, we will be all right.”

I had a dream that left an indelible impression upon me and impacted my faith in the power of the name of Jesus. I will quote from my journal, “I was in a tense situation, held hostage and surrounded by powerful, evil men. I kept pointing my finger at them and saying, ‘In the name of Jesus, come out of him. In the name of Jesus!’

The first chapter of Hebrews describes two supernatural ministries that are available to us today: the ministry of Jesus and the ministry of angels. Jesus’ ministry is much greater, but the angels play an important part in our lives.

We all know that we should think on good things that are positive and uplifting. Unfortunately, it was easier for Paul to write than for us to practice. The question is, “How can I habitually think good thoughts? I’ve confessed the Word, prayed, and read my Bible but I am still overcome by discouraging and depressing thoughts. I still feel like a failure.” I believe there has been a missing link that will enable us to practice this scripture.

You may be walking through a “dry place” in your life, perhaps having a difficult time… a time when it seems that all your opportunities have dried up. It appears that your financial needs are not being met and your future looks bleak. You may even feel like your prayers are not being heard. Circumstances rise up against you and you don’t see a way out.

In Genesis chapter one, we find the account of creation. Some of the most profound truths in the Bible are in the Book of Genesis, especially the first three chapters. If you miss these, you won’t be able to understand many things in the Bible. “And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.” (Genesis 1:11)

The WORD says you were healed. Sickness is a curse of the law, and Galatians 3:13 says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us....” Matthew 8:17 says, “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.”

Webster defines anxiety as “a state of being uneasy, apprehensive, or worried about what may happen; concerned about a possible future event.”

As we approach the end of the age, we as believers are coming closer to the Kingdom of Light and our light will become brighter. But the world is coming closer to the kingdom of darkness. Therefore, their darkness will become darker. For the scriptures reveal that the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.

Most people don’t understand the power of words. Do you realize that the things you are speaking out of your mouth are setting the cornerstone of your life? Some words deceive. Some words transmit faith. Think about it. The words you speak can transmit faith or fear. So when we are talking about your spoken words, we are talking about things that are powerful enough to change lives for the better or worse.
