 Overview

Under minimal supervision, insuring that all shipping and receiving of ministry materials are executed efficiently. Must be able to understand and execute all operational functions of the shipping and receiving area in a manner that meets the ministry’s standards for safety, security and productivity.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize multiple software systems such as Filemaker Stamps.com FedEx.com and Shopify, to fulfill retail, wholesale and international orders
• Efficiently follow the print, pull, check, weigh, pack and shipping processes with minimal supervision
• Prepare and print shipping documents
• Accurately and efficiently stage outbound shipments in accordance with internal and external regulations
• Safely use forklift and other equipment for shipments and deliveries
• Keep current all procedures and training pertaining to parcel shipping utilized by the different shipping systems
• Ensure the integrity of the order information and goods in both the picking and packaging stage of order fulfillment
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Maintain the security of the warehouse; conduct operations according to best safety practices
• Track and assess inventory needs
• Distribute product to other departments
• Actively contributes to a strife free working environment at Capps Ministries by maintaining a positive disposition
• Other duties or special projects as assigned

 JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Current Forklift Certification
• 1-3 years of warehouse experience preferred

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be detail oriented and able to maintain focus
• Intermediate computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Competent math skills
• Critical thinker
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Database and Shipping software experience
• General knowledge of Capps Ministries products
• Comfortable praying the Word of God over partner orders
• Good command of the English language
• Bilingual (Spanish) abilities are a plus

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

• Forklift
• Pallet Jack
• Rolling Safety Ladder
• Windows 10/11 PC
• VOIP Phone
• Letter folding machine
• Printers – including desktop, network printer, shipping label printer and CD label printer

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment
• Able to work overtime on an “as needed” basis
• Must work a scheduled shift: M-F, 8:30-4:30

• Ability to give, receive and analyze information
• Must be organized
• Ability to understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations
• Ability to react with appropriate urgency to situations that require quick response and turnaround
• Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision

 WORKING CONDITIONS:

• General warehouse environment with moderately low level of machinery

• Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of Capps Ministries
• Must work well with others as a team
• Must maintain a good attendance record
• Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills
